Foods high in Fluoruro
Oligomineral que fortalece el esmalte dental frente a la caries. La mayor parte de la ingesta dietética proviene del agua fluorada y del té.
Acerca de Fluoruro
Fluoride makes tooth enamel more resistant to the acid that causes decay. The body also takes it into bone.
Most dietary fluoride comes from drinking water, particularly where the supply is fluoridated, and from tea, because the tea plant concentrates it. Figures for prepared foods and drinks depend heavily on the water they were made with. The UK label reference intake is 3.5 mg a day.
Too much fluoride while teeth are still forming in childhood can cause dental fluorosis, faint white marks on the enamel. That is why young children are advised to use only a smear or a pea-sized amount of fluoride toothpaste.
